Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried in for a 12 kg bag, so that this can be better processed in our lump. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for the dog.

Buffalo

At YourDog we use meat from fairly grown up and grass -lined buffalo. Buffelo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is full of vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At YourDog we use duck, chicken and turkey which together ensure a delicious taste and aroma of the chunk. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetable

To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. For example, vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient that we add to our dog food has been carefully selected because of the positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are brought to the attention. Ras -specific complaints can be reduced by the use of herbs, carrots, flowers and plants.

Basenji specific vegetables, herbs and fruit

We carefully investigated the race characteristics of the Basenji. We have also conducted research into the properties of the FCI-RRAS section and the FCI variety group to which the Basenji belongs. These studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionist, have been selected that optimally benefits the health and well -being of the Basenji.

Fennel

Fennel is a plant from the screen flower family and can be recognized by the anise flavor. The wire -shaped branches of the leaves are often used as a herb and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for centuries for its medicinal properties.

Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is also rich in different vitamins and minerals. For example, it contains a lot of vitamins A and C and the mineral iron and potassium.

Fennel can be added to dog food by us because it can support digestion and prevent a bloated feeling in the stomach and intestines. It can contribute to a healthy heart and vascular system and can have a positive influence on joint problems. Fennel would also promote a fresh breath.

Cranberry

The cranberry is a plant from the heathland family. This plant can be found in the Netherlands mainly on the Wadden Islands and very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. Originally the plant comes from North America and would have come to the Netherlands for the first time around 1845.

Cranberries contain a unique mix of nutrients that can offer a powerful health boost to dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of the vital liquids in the body. These berries are also full of vitamins A, B and C and antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes the urine more acidic, which ensures that the environment in the bladder becomes more unattractive for bacteria. Furthermore, Mango contains many healthy dietary fibers that contribute to the strengthening of the immune system and digestion. Pup, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Basenji dog food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your Basenji is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Basenji older than 7 years we recommend the Yourdog Basenji senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the adult variant.

Nutritional advice

Transfer advice

If you switch to YourDog from a different feed brand, we recommend following the following steps. For the first step you feed 25% YourDog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then you feed 50% YourDog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to it here again. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely left on YourDog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion you can start feeding 100% Yourdog Basenji dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the YourDog package, the diet is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect the shelf life and taste. That is why it is important to store the food in a good way after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or ton in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the diet loose in the barrel, but to put it in the barrel with the entire bag, which you close again as well as possible.
