The BY-MP4 is a versatile audio adapter that you can use for different applications. For example, you can connect a shotgun microphone to the stereo input and attach it to the top hotshoe of the BY-MP4. You can connect lavali micropones to the mono inputs, including wireless microphones with recipients on the left and right hotshoe. With the stereo-mono button you can switch between the sound of the shotgun microphone and the sound of both lavali microphones. The sound of both mono channels is sent to the camera on a separate track, so that you can edit them separately in the assembly.
