Azuleojos are ceramic tiles with an origin at the Moors. These tiles are decorated with beautiful Moorish decorations and became popular with King Manuel I of Portugal after his visit to the Alhambra in Spain. He had his own Evora Palace in Portugal decorated with similar tiles. In the tactical game Azul, players are instructed to beautify the walls of the Royal Palace in Evora. They must form patterns, cover the walls and score as many points as possible to win!
