AGM SIOUX850 Long-Range Infrared Stranger 850NM 1000MW

The AGM SIOUX850 is a powerful LED infrared radiator with an 850nm wavelength and no less than 1,000mw power. This is indispensable in situations where there is little to no residual light. The SIOUX850 is suitable for every night (target) viewer with weaver/picatinny (side) rail, but you can also use the device handheld. With this product you will receive an IR-mount, rechargeable 18650 battery and battery charger.

This infrared radiator takes care of:

The infrared beam has a wavelength of 850NM, which is most common for night vision applications. With an 850NM IR you have the largest range, but it does produce a red glow in which we look in the IR source from close up. The IR radius itself is invisible to the naked eye. You can set the power (0-100%) and the infrared bundle (4 to 35 degrees) yourself. This allows you to 'LIGHT' a larger or smaller area of ​​the environment. 

Through the included adapter you can easily attach the IR Illuminator to every weaver/picatinny (side) rail. The device is powered by the supplied rechargeable 18650 battery. You also receive a charger to charge the battery and a carrying bag to be able to take it safely.

This infrared radiator is extremely suitable if you also want to be able to see with your night viewer/night rider view when there is little or no ambient light. With this 850NM IR you maximize the viewing distance and it does not matter for you that the red IR glow is visible up close. This infrared radiator is widely applicable, for example tactical applications. But this is also an indispensable accessory for hunters, survival or general nature observations. The human eye cannot detect the IR light, but through a night viewer you can still see the 'enlightened' area.

Infrared light: 850NM vs. 940NM

When comparing infrared heaters with different wavelengths, you can basically maintain the following rule of thumb:

• Wavelength 850NM: Maximum power for a maximum viewing distance. The red glow is visible up close
• Wavelength 940NM: The infrared glow is invisible. In terms of power/viewing distance you therefore lose approximately 25-30% compared to 850NM
