DVD tape

A blurred motel room, three top actors and an amazing script. These are the ingredients of the strong drama tape. This film by Richard Linklater is about two men who meet after 10 years in a motel room in Lansing, Michigan. Vince (Ethan Hawke) and Jon (Sean Robert Leonard) were each other's best friends at Highschool. Jon is a debuting director who has been invited to a Film Festival in his birthplace. Vince is in all kinds of dark drug shops and has not kicked it further than a volunteer at the fire brigade. The meeting starts amical, but soon Vince appears to have a double agenda. Vince wants to talk about their joint high school friend Amy (Uma Thurman). He tries to steal a confession that he secretly absorbs on tape. Vince wants Jon to admit that he has raped Amy during a party that got out of hand. To make everything even more complicated, Vince has also invited Amy. Vince is out for a confrontation, but the result also appears to be a big surprise for him!
