These brake pads are available in different compounds, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. The organic compound is ideal for dry conditions and suitable for MTB, trekking and racing bikes. The sintered compound is ideal for wet conditions and suitable for MTB. The metallic carbon (semi-metal) compound is ideal for both wet and dry weather conditions and suitable for e-bikes.
After the assembly of the new brake pads, it is important to inhibit them for a longer lifespan. This can be done by lightly putting on the brake lever while you drive and ensure that the brake pads touch the brake disc. Drive approximately 100 meters at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour and brake a little faster at the end to reduce the speed to about 5 kilometers per hour. The speed can then be slowly raised while slightly braking. Repeat this process 10 to 12 times to ensure that the new brake pads are well finished.
